Canyon Contracting, Inc is a commercial concrete company that came from a general contracting business that we also own, Keller Brothers, Inc. Keller Brothers was founded in 1960 by
brothers Phillip D. (Dennis) and Stanley Keller. Keller Brothers, Inc is known for their dedication and hard work towards every job they perform. Phillip D. Keller Jr. is now president and with his brother Jay Keller,
vice-president; they continue to strive in the construction world with the same hard-work, determination and respect that their father started the business with.
With concrete being a major part of new construction, Phillip and Jay decided to start their own concrete construction company in March 2003 with Jay Keller as President. Canyon Contracting, Inc. was started with the same principles and
dedication as Keller Brothers, Inc. Canyon Contracting is a complete concrete construction company performing jobs both in site work and structural building concrete.
In March of 2005, we acquired L. Barrett Contracting, Inc., a concrete construction company. L. Barrett Contracting was a family owned business that was started in 1963 by Clifton E. Barrett. William (Bill)
Barrett started working for his dad as a teenager and in 1978 he became President of the company. Bill continues to work for the company as one of our estimators.
Realizing how concrete pumps are an important piece of equipment for the concrete construction field, we purchased a concrete pumping company in August of 2006, Concrete Placing Services of Maryland, LLC. We
currently have a 2006 Schwing 39 meter boom pump truck.
